The book club brings together a community of avid readers at UBC, meeting monthly to discuss pre-selected books, and connecting online to share their favourite reads.
The UBC MMHC was formed officially just this past summer, by a group of friends with the goal of encouraging open discussion and support for men.
Aside from getting people moving, SISU also places an emphasis on health education.
The AADC was founded for those students that are interested in practical dissection, but aren’t able to try it out within their own academic program.
Sailing season usually only begins in April, and ends around September, so the club is most active over the summer.
All outings and events held by UBC Birding are open to all UBC students by registration, regardless of membership.
Since the early 2000s, the club has been bringing together students interested in learning the science and process behind brewing various beverages including beer and kombucha.
“Our primary goal,” Mayank Gupta, UBC Design League’s marketing rep, explained, “is to get students to feel more comfortable by hosting design competitions and creating new opportunities.”
