After going 2-8 in the last 10 games, the UBC men’s hockey team were desperate to impress at the Winter Classic, only to finish with a disappointing 4-1 loss. UBC now holds a record of 9-11-3 and place sixth in Canada West.

After winning four straight games, the UBC women’s basketball team lost two at home against the Regina Cougars. The T-Birds’ first game ended in a tight 71-69 defeat. On Saturday, the 'Birds fell 69-61.
