UBC entered the competition with a second place in NAIA West and played its first game on Friday against the third-seeded College of Idaho Yotes. The 'Birds then conceded a 3-0 to the top-seeded Lewis-Clark State Warriors on Saturday.
After splits against the Corban University and Lewis-Clark State College on the road, the Thunderbird baseball team picked up three wins and a loss against the College of Idaho Yotes back at home. UBC now holds a conference record of 19-11.
The Thunderbirds baseball team extended its winning streak to seven games by sweeping the Simpson University Red Hawks for the second time. On Saturday, the T-Birds won by scores of 6-0 and 10-2. On Sunday, the ’Birds won 5-3 and 9-0.
After five straight loses, the T-Birds baseball team earned its redemption with a three-game sweep of the Oregon Tech Owls at home. UBC played its first double-header on Friday, coming out with 2-1 and 11-1 wins before a 7-0 shutout win Saturday.

After winning the Canada West championships back in November, the UBC swim team came out in second place at the 2016 Speedo CIS Swimming Championships in Laval. The women’s team scored a total of 749.5 points while the men’s team had 766.
In the last AMS hosted debate, the VP Academic candidates — Samantha So, Andrew Liang and Hussam Zbeeb — squared off. The debate started with a game of The Price Is Right, where the candidates had to guess the prices of different student textbooks.

UBC’s new Aquatic Centre is scheduled to be completed by November of 2016. The centre will feature a 50-metre competition pool, 25-metre pool, a leisure pool and a hot tub, each of which will occupy a different space and operate on a different tank.
UBC men’s hockey team finished the regular season, narrowly securing a playoff spot. “It doesn’t matter now ... how the season ended. We go and win a couple of games in Calgary and we’ll be all right,” said Adam Shell, UBC's head coach.
For the first time since September, the UBC baseball team will take to the field in Lewiston, Idaho. The ’Birds’ will face three American teams from their NAIA league that include last year's World Series champions Lewis-Clarke State College.
