First-year arts student Kareem Hassib is running for student senator-at-large on a platform of reconciliation, accessibility and equitable processes for academic misconduct.

Incumbent senator-at-large Romina Hajizadeh is running for her second term on a platform of increasing engagement with students and prioritizing equity, diversity and inclusion.

Candidates generally erred on the side of continuing to pursue international affiliations at the debate, albeit with greater evaluation of such partnerships.

The updated recommendations state that “drinking alcohol, even a small amount, is damaging to everyone, regardless of age, sex, gender, ethnicity, tolerance for alcohol or lifestyle.”
