UBC's women's hockey team has claimed the Canada West title. The three-game series came to a close Sunday afternoon when, after the final whistle, the T-Birds were up 2-1. They will now head the CIS quarterfinals in Calgary on March 17.

After winning the Canada West championships back in November, the UBC swim team came out in second place at the 2016 Speedo CIS Swimming Championships in Laval. The women’s team scored a total of 749.5 points while the men’s team had 766.
