We were just served notice that UBC is appealing the court case we've been fighting them on for the past three years. The one where the BC Office of Information and Privacy (OIPC) struck them down. And then they sued the OIPC. And then we won again.

A whopping 484 pages out of this 598-page docket are proposals for new courses and programs. This meeting includes 39 courses and five programs being introduced or revised. Here are some courses and programs that might be of interest to students.

We feel that financial spending is an important indicator of the trustworthiness and actions of an institution, and as a society in charge of about $20 million in student fees this year alone, the AMS has a big responsibility.
They could have had this talk already and decided to want to keep it casual. There's nothing wrong with that, but it does make it awkward when your friends start coupling the two of you up all the time when you decided against that.

This year, The Ubyssey's goal during AMS Elections was to pivot away from traditional endorsements to a more analytical approach with the knowledge that different students will prioritize different values in their candidates.
I want to address to concerns about the move to 3,000 people. I want to start by highlighting that I don't understand the arbitrary nature of this argument. Why is 3,000 not a good cut-off, but 1,500 is?
