The Ubyssey's sports staff year-end report

For the end of the 2024/25 academic year, we rounded up our top sports + rec staff to look back on the monumental year.

Thunderbirds bring home 14th men's soccer national title

Over the weekend, the UBC men's soccer team earned another national championship title after defeating the University of New Brunswick Reds, the McGill University Redbirds and the Université de Montréal Carabins.

On Saturday night, the men's soccer team faced the UBC Okanagan Heat and earned a 2–0 shutout, thanks to performances from Luke Norman and Bennett McKay.
