The Vancouver Archives are a treasure trove of old photos and videos of the City of Vancouver — including the UBC campus.
One YouTube user, BC History, has taken it upon themselves to upload a swath of them to the video-sharing site. They even add music to the otherwise-silent movies.
One posted on the subreddit r/UBC the other day shows a group of dapper folks waiting for the university bus in 1939, before the videographer started shooting different areas of campus — some, like the chemistry building at 52 seconds in, are still very much recognizable.
