Lauren started writing for The Ubyssey in 2021, after finding the only space you could join without having to talk to someone. Now, she frequently talks to people for stories about pretty much anything and everything. She then became the newspaper's sports + rec editor from 2023–25. Go figure. The library was eerily quiet that night as I entered with my Starbucks drink in hand. There were no sounds of keyboards tapping, no pencils scraping against paper, no quiet sniffles coming from students. The place was abandoned.
