Daniel Lam has won the race for VP Academic. Lam ran unopposed for this position on a campaign of affordability, equity and inclusion and the student experience, but he was still ecstatic to win the position.

The Great Debate provided unopposed candidate Daniel Lam with the opportunity to further explain his platform points and solidify his plan for the next year as VP Academic, and he had some interesting things to say.

Being the only VP Academic candidate, Daniel Lam took the stage in the first AMS elections debate today unopposed. Lam is a current student senator at large with two years of both AMS Council and undergraduate society council experience.

The AMS and GSS statements follows President Santa Ono’s statement, in which he announced the creation of a task force with the goal of determining what degree of assistance that the university can offer to those affected by the ban.

UBC’s math department has been bringing their courses into the digital age by making the bulk of course materials available online for free. The online resources are a mixture of digital textbooks, homework software and open educational resources.
