Vibes Are Dope — or VIBES ARE DOPE — is a blog that makes the claim that it’s “the most important website on the internet.” Bold words considering it has existed for just over a year, has 130 Instagram followers and twice as many Facebook likes.
A brief primer: the Rugby Sevens are an annual tournament held in Vancouver. Sevens is a form of rugby with just under half as many players as a regular game, and played in two seven-minute halves. Over two days, 16 countries play 63 games.
“While that really specific activist work is so important, unfortunately people weren’t really showing up. If we’re not providing a service that people are using, then unfortunately it’s time to step away from that,” she said.
At the start of her show, the 23 year old singer-songwriter let us know that her band had driven to “the wrong border.” She was up there solo, with just her voice and a bass guitar to play her Indie-rock.
It’s not a bad thing to be a nerd — everyone is one. Call them interests, call them passions, but at the end of the day we all know way too much about one specific thing that everyone around us thinks is weird.
