"The unfortunate thing about having an anxiety attack on the bus is that you have nowhere to run. My social anxiety prevented me from hyperventilating in front of everybody. Instead, I sat there — frozen like I was about to faint."
"We understand that tuition is critical to the university’s function — it represents a majority of the revenues in our discretionary operating budget. But we disagree with this proposal on several grounds."
“Whether someone identifies as female, nonbinary, genderfluid, transgender or by another term is a very personal part of their life and should be treated with respect and tact, rather than assumption and confrontation.“
“Recently, a mistake made by the University of Alberta’s (U of A) student paper The Gateway was met with a lawsuit from Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Edmonton-Griesbach Kerry Diotte on the grounds of defamation. “To put it simply, student issues aren’t being addressed by the NDP or Liberals because we don’t vote, and we don’t vote because we’re concentrated in safe ridings all around Vancouver. If we want our fair share like the rest of the province, we need proportional representation.“
‘Why don’t I remember this from class? I totally bombed this part on the midterm! My university career is being torn down by this single equation.’ These are all things that seem to run through our heads when we finally dive into our notes and see the veritable Everest of things we have to cover.
