Editorial: Shack has the technical and political knowledge to succeed as VP finance

Shack, as the current AVP finance, has demonstrated knowledge of the portfolio. He aims to conduct focus-group surveys on AMS businesses, then revamp them based on that feedback. These surveys will likely be the baseline of what Shack calls a “comprehensive business review,” which will be used to formulate a long-term plan — he thinks this is necessary for long-term financial stability at the business level. Editorial: Vote with empathy. Vote yes on all four referenda

You will have the opportunity to vote on four referenda during this year’s exam period: three are fee increases brought forward by the AMS and the fourth is a student-petitioned referendum which would require the AMS to write a letter demanding UBC cut ties with Israeli universities claimed to uphold apartheid.
