Cole Evans wins second term as AMS president

Incumbent Cole Evans will keep his presidency for a second year.

Evans ran on a platform of COVID-19 recovery, equity and AMS governance reform. He was not re-elected as a senator-at-large.

While the presidential race was uncontested, Evans said at the beginning of the campaign period that this wouldn’t be a victory lap for him.

He said it was “super exciting” to be re-elected.

“I’m really happy that UBC students who voted put their trust in me to lead us out of this pandemic and have a great second term as president,” said Evans.
