Zarifa Nawar, Jasper Lorien, Kareem Hassib, Ananya Gupta and Solomon Yi-Kieran won the five student senator-at-large seats at this year's AMS election.
“Feels great, a lot of work to do,” said Lorien. Lorien also won the UBC Board of Governors race and is a Senate incumbent.
“I feel fucking insane,” said newcomer Nawar. Nawar also won the Arts Faculty Senator race, meaning she has 24 hours to choose which Senate seat she will take.
“I'm really looking forward to continue doing work with accessibility," said incumbent Yi-Kieran, who was also elected as AMS VP external.
Gupta said she felt “fucking great” and would be celebrating with friends.
“I’m excited to get back to work and start delivering more results for students,” said Hassib.
The newly elected senators will assume office on May 1.
