UBC’s collaboration on the court successfully suppressed the opponent’s attack, widening the gap set by set before finally taking down the WolfPack 25-15 to seal their fate.
“There were a couple of challenges for the girls in this game,” said UBC Head Coach Doug Reimer. “We’ve got people coming off from injuries, so I think mentally it was hard for us to play well for a long time in the third day [of the tournament].”

“They played a lot better tonight than they did last night,” said UBC head coach Kerry MacDonald Saturday about their opponents, “Especially in the first set, they’ve played very good volleyball, and made us really earn it—we had to play a lot better to win them tonight.”
With their win at the University of Washington, the co-ed team and the women’s team headed back to Vancouver as the top team divisionally, which guaranteed them a spot in regionals.
